About the Company
This is an opportunity to join a premier civil & landscape company delivering high-quality, vibrant communities across all of Melbourne. Specialising in two main sectors-open play spaces and streetscapes-this business is passionate about transforming public environments into beautifully integrated, functional spaces.
Due to a steady pipeline of landmark projects, they are seeking a dedicated Project Manager to join their established Streetscape division on a permanent basis.
The Role
Operating within the specialist Streetscape business, the Project Manager will take full ownership of civil landscape projects from contract award through to final handover. This position requires an industry professional who deeply understands the specific pacing, council compliance, and material complexities of urban civil landscaping, structural concrete, premium paving, and public realm transformations.
Key Responsibilities:
End-to-End Delivery: Manage project timelines, strictly tracking budgets, variations, and resource allocation.
Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for local councils, landscape architects, tier-1 builders, and commercial developers across Melbourne.
Site Leadership: Oversee site supervisors, direct labor, and subcontractors, ensuring all works meet strict quality standards and engineering specifications.
HSEQ Compliance: Drive a zero-harm safety culture on-site, ensuring strict adherence to environmental and quality management systems.
Procurement: Coordinate the supply and delivery of specialised streetscape materials, mature trees, and custom urban furniture elements.
What the Ideal Candidate Brings
Proven Streetscape Expertise: Strong, demonstrated experience managing streetscape or urban civil landscape projects (e.g., shopping strips, public plazas, urban paving, structural concrete elements).
Qualifications: A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction/Project Management, Landscape Architecture, or a relevant trade background with extensive management experience.
Financial & Commercial Acumen: Capability in managing project finances, tracking margins, and handling variations smoothly.
Communication: Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to confidently navigate council specifications and client expectations.
Mobility: A valid Victorian Driver's License, as projects span across all quadrants of Melbourne.
What is on Offer
Competitive Salary Package: Generous base salary + super + fully maintained company vehicle.
Project Security: A secure, long-term project pipeline offering genuine job stability and room for professional growth.
Strong Company Culture: A supportive, collaborative environment that values team synergy and respects work-life balance.
Impact: The opportunity to manage projects that leave a lasting mark on Melbourne's evolving urban landscape.
