Frequently asked questions

As a contractor you will be paid weekly in accordance with your timesheet. All details need to be filled in on your timesheet and signed off by the client. Your timesheet will need to be in by 10am Tuesday mornings. Payroll is processed on Thursday’s and funds are received within 1-2 business days. If your timesheet is not submitted on time, your pay will be processed the following week.

Marble Group has authorized only selected personnel to approve a timesheet. If an unauthorized signatory approves your timesheet, we must be notified of this change and reasoning as to why. If you need someone else to approve your timesheet, a line manager would be the first choice. If you are unsure, please contact your consultant at Marble Group.

Driver’s Licenses are not an accepted form of a right to work. Under the Migration Act, it is a criminal offence to allow someone to work if they do not have a legal right to work within Australia. In order to confirm Australian or New Zealand citizenship, we require a Passport or Birth Certificate.

Yes, your pay slip will be emailed to you after your pay is processed by our payroll team on Thursdays.

You are more than welcome to do this. All you need to do is provide us with the following information:

  1. Certificate of Registration (Issued by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission)
  2. Australian Business Number (ABN)
  3. Goods and services tax (GST) notification of registration (Where GST is to be claimed)
  4. Insurance cover for Workers Compensation, Professional Indemnity (up to $5 million) & Public Liability (up to $20 million)

If you are unable to go to your assignment, please contact your consultant as soon as possible so they can inform the client. If you cannot speak to your consultant, please leave a message with another consultant and contact the client directly.

If you are currently working as a Contractor with Marble Group and have now secured yourself a full-time position, please advise your Marble Consultant as soon as possible to ensure that can advise the client accordingly. In this scenario we would politely request at least 48 hours notice so we can arrange for a suitable replacement.

If you have an accident at work, please follow the correct procedure as outlined in within your OH&S Induction. Please continue to then inform your workplace safety representative as well as advise your Marble Consultant so that they can take the appropriate action.

If the client wants to make you a permanent offer, and you are happy to become a permanent staff member, ensure that the client has been in contact with your Marble Consultant and we will be happy to facilitate.

If a uniform or personal protection equipment is required, then this will be supplied by the company you are contracting to.

Your consultant will give you a rough guide to how long your assignment will last. If an assignment ends prematurely or work is completed before the predetermined date, we endeavor to notify you as soon as possible.

Yes, your superannuation will be paid into your nominated fund on a quarterly basis, and will be paid at 9.5%.
