Join a highly regarded mining principal in North QLD as part of an experienced, safety-focused maintenance team supporting a large fleet of underground and surface mining equipment.

• FIFO from Brisbane, Cairns or Townsville, charter flights, accommodation and meals provided
• Structured 8:6 roster, 12-hour day and night shifts
• Ongoing OEM and underground mining training
• Excellent camp facilities and strong community culture

The Role

Support the reliability and performance of underground and surface mining equipment through planned maintenance, workshop duties and breakdowns.

• Servicing, diagnosing and repairing heavy mobile mining equipment
• Responding to breakdowns and carrying out preventative maintenance
• Component changeouts, mechanical fault finding and basic hydraulics
• Working across OEM equipment including Sandvik, CAT, Normet and Elphinstone

Camp & Travel

• FIFO from Brisbane, Cairns or Townsville, short transfer from airport to camp
• Modern ensuite accommodation, wet and dry mess with quality meals
• Gym, pool, tennis courts and an active social camp culture
• Telstra mobile reception and Wi-Fi throughout

Your Skills & Experience

• Heavy diesel trade qualification, Cert III or equivalent
• Proven experience on heavy equipment, earthmoving, agricultural or civil
• Open cut or underground mining experience highly regarded
• Strong safety focus and ability to work effectively in a team
• Ability to pass a full pre-employment medical and police clearance
