The Roster & FIFO

You'll enjoy working on a lifestyle friendly 2:2 roster where you'll fly in on day one in company time, and out after your 14^th swing after night shift.

• 14 days on (D/N), 14 off
• Fly in Thursday morning, complete 7-day shifts; Fly home Thursday morning, after 7-night shifts
• FIFO on offer from Brisbane, Townsville and Cairns - Via charter flight

The Duties

Reporting into the Project Manager, you'll enjoy taking responsibility for the electrical division when you are on site. Both day shift and night shift. This presents a great opportunity to step up to leading hand level in the future as the site grows. Duties will include;-

• Fault finding, diagnostics and breakdown repairs on underground drills (Jumbos and Cablebolters)
• Jumbo box and punt starter installs
• 1000v and 11kv reticulation
• Maintenance, repairs and breakdowns to fans pumps and vents
• Leaky Feeder communications installs and maintenance
• HV power supply including substations and HV switching (where signed off)
• General power and lighting work
• Statutory work along with auditing

Your Skills & Experience

Coming to the role with some UG hard rock mining experience will be essential in your success in this role, as you'll be working autonomously on days and nights. Successful applicants with come with the following;

• Cert III Electrotechnology
• Minimum of 12 months UG hard rock mining experience
• Knowledge of drill servicing and breakdowns, along with fans pumps and vents
• HV switching, substations, HV power supply (highly regarded, not essential)
• Excellent attitude towards work, safety and working in a team
• A mature headspace, who enjoys stepping up and taking responsibility

The Contract & Rates

Marble has a great relationship with the UG mining contractor and supply skilled workers on a temp to perm basis. This role should be viewed and long term and permanent. Transitions to perm after 6 swings.

• Marble contract rates (paid weekly) - $80.00ph - $85.00ph + super
• Permanent rates with the client - $75.00ph + super (with pay reviews)
