The Site and FIFO

The operation is a large underground hard rock mine located in regional South Australia, approximately one hour's flight from Adelaide. Backed by a multi-year contract, the site provides a high-quality FIFO experience.

Site features include:

• Modern, well-appointed camp facilities including gym and wet mess
• Camp located close to the mine to minimise daily travel
• High-quality catering and food standards
• 2:2 roster - days, then nights, followed by 14 days off
• Interstate flights provided from major capital cities

Roster & Hours

• 2:2 roster consisting of 7 days, 7 nights, followed by 14 days off
• 12-hour shifts on a Wednesday-to-Wednesday swing
• Fly to site on Day -1 (Tuesday) and stay in camp prior to commencing day shift at 6:00am
• Fly home Wednesday morning at approximately 8:00am, with interstate connections arranged where required

The Duties

Reporting into the Leading Hand on crew, you'll enjoy working in a team of experienced UG Shift Electricians and be responsible for the following duties will include;-

• Fault finding, diagnostics and breakdown repairs on underground drills (Jumbos and Cablebolters)
• Jumbo box and punt starter installs
• 1000v and 11kv reticulation
• Maintenance, repairs and breakdowns to fans pumps and vents
• Leaky Feeder communications installs and maintenance
• HV power supply including substations and HV switching (where signed off)
• General power and lighting work
• Statutory work along with auditing
• AutoMine; setting up levels and equipment installs

Your Skills & Experience

Underground mining experience is not essential in your success in this role. Your mining, heavy industrial experience will be highly beneficial in your success in this role. You'll come armed with;

• Cert III Electrotechnology
• Minimum of 2 years post trade experience working in a heavy industrial environment
• Team player and have the ability to work autonomously
• All round ability in your trade and ability to problem solve
• Excellent attitude towards work, safety and working in a team

The Contract & Rates

Marble has a great relationship with the UG mining contractor and supply skilled workers on a temp to perm basis. This role should be viewed and long term and permanent. Transitions to perm after 6 swings.

• Marble contract rates (paid weekly) - $75.00ph - $85.00ph + super (depending on experience)
• Permanent rates with the client - $75.00ph + super (with pay reviews)
