A well-established software provider servicing Australia's residential construction industry is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day performance of the business.

This is a rare opportunity to step into a senior leadership position with a business that has become a trusted technology partner to many of Australia's leading residential builders. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will oversee multiple business functions including Client Services, Product, Sales & Marketing, and Infrastructure, ensuring the business continues to grow while delivering exceptional outcomes for clients.

This role would suit someone with a strong understanding of the residential construction industry who enjoys leading people, improving business performance, and building long-term client relationships.

About the Role

As Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the overall operational performance of the business, leading a cross-functional management team while driving revenue growth, client retention, product direction, and operational excellence. You'll work closely with the Managing Director to shape business strategy while remaining hands-on with key builder clients and major software implementations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor department managers across Client Services, Product, Sales & Marketing, Infrastructure and Development
• Drive overall business performance, ensuring revenue growth and operational efficiency
• Oversee sales and marketing performance, supporting lead generation and enquiry conversion
• Manage relationships with the company's largest builder clients, acting as the senior point of contact
• Work closely with Product and Development teams to influence the software roadmap based on customer feedback
• Partner with the Managing Director on demonstrations and presentations to major builder groups
• Improve collaboration across departments and ensure business priorities are delivered
• Represent the business at industry events and functions
• Lead planning and delivery of the company's annual customer conference

Ideal Background

This opportunity would suit an Operations Manager, General Manager, Head of Operations or senior business leader with experience in residential construction, construction technology, building software, or a supplier servicing residential builders.

Candidates with backgrounds in residential building, construction software, building products, or operational leadership within the construction industry will be highly regarded. Experience managing cross-functional teams, commercial performance, and key client relationships is essential.
