About the Company

Our client is a well-established multi-trade services business operating across fire, mechanical, and electrical disciplines. With a strong pipeline of commercial, industrial, and municipal work, they service a number of high-profile clients across Melbourne including councils, water authorities, and large industrial operators.

Due to continued growth within their fire division, they are now seeking an experienced Service Manager to take ownership of day-to-day operations and help drive the next stage of growth.

The Role

This is a hands-on Service Manager position combining office-based coordination, technical oversight, and client/account management. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth delivery of fire service works while supporting a team of technicians in the field.

Key responsibilities include:

• Overseeing daily operations of the fire services division (wet fire, dry fire, and portable systems)
• Leading and supporting technicians across service and maintenance works
• Scheduling and coordinating jobs to ensure efficient delivery
• Preparing and managing quotes, variations, and service work orders
• Leading monthly toolbox meetings
• Identifying cross-selling opportunities across fire, mechanical, and electrical divisions

About You

The successful candidate will bring strong industry experience and the ability to step in and "get the crew running right" from day one.

You will ideally have:

• Background in fire services (wet and/or dry fire systems, portable fire equipment experience highly regarded)
• A-Grade Electrical qualification preferred, though not essential
• Previous experience in a service coordination, supervisory, or management role
• Strong quoting, scheduling, and organisational capability
• A practical, solutions-focused approach
• Strong communication skills and client-facing confidence
