Junior Project Manager opportunity with a commercial builder. Join a live project with confirmed future work in Melbourne's north.
A well-established Tier 2 commercial building contractor is seeking a capable Junior Project Manager to join their delivery team on a major construction project currently underway in Melbourne's northern suburbs.
The project has approximately 6 months remaining, with a confirmed transition onto another project in the same area, providing continuity of work and long-term opportunity within the business.
This role is suited to a Junior Project Manager with proven experience working for a builder on live construction projects. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day delivery of the project, working closely with both the project and site teams.
Support the Project Manager in overall project delivery
Assist with procurement, subcontractor coordination, and contract administration
Manage RFIs, variations, and project documentation
Coordinate consultants, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders
Track costs, progress claims, and reporting requirements
Monitor quality assurance, safety, and compliance
Assist with handover and project close-out activities
Demonstrated experience working for a commercial building contractor
Typically 5+ years' experience in the construction industry
Experience as a Junior Project Manager, Project Engineer, or strong Contract Administrator on projects over $50mil
Solid understanding of construction methodologies and site operations
Strong organisational and communication skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, site-based environment
Immediate involvement on a significant construction project
Ongoing pipeline of work with a stable commercial builder
