Senior Project Manager | High-End Commercial Fitout

Seeking an experience Site Manager to help deliver office, health & community projects!

I am currently partnering with one of Australia's premier fitout and refurbishment specialists to find an experienced Site Manager. This contractor has a reputation for excellence, delivering high-end projects across the office, health, education, and retail sectors.

This is a senior site-based position reporting directly to the Project Manager. You will be responsible for the physical delivery of construction aspects, ensuring projects are completed to agreed quality, cost, and time constraints while maintaining a safe and sustainable workplace.

Key Responsibilities

• As the lead on-site, you will manage all construction staff, sub-contractors, and consultants to ensure a "One Team" culture.

• Oversee all construction phases to meet head contract requirements and consistently high quality levels.

• Provide direct supervision and mentorship to the Site Foreman and Contract Administrator

• Lead the Safety Leadership Team, conduct weekly toolbox talks, and ensure the correct application of the Safety Management System.

• Establish and maintain quality assurance systems, manage hold points/witness points, and oversee defect rectification throughout the project lifecycle.

• Manage site establishment, materials handling, and the administration of a robust RFI process.

• Communicate effectively with all stakeholder groups and verify compliance with safety and building standards through regular site walks.

What You'll Need

• The successful candidate will be a natural leader and problem solver with a proven track record of implementing construction best practices.

• At least 5 years of experience in the construction industry, including the successful completion of at least five full project cycles with commercial builders.

• An undergraduate degree in engineering or construction management, or a strong trade background.

• Strong project programming, design review, and cost management skills

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to effectively lead diverse site teams and consultants.
