Property development leader Podia recently unveiled its plans for The Barbotine in Byron Bay. The Barbotine will be a new hotel-apartment development designed by Richards & Spence, next to Mercato.
The establishment will feature an array of dining, retail, and wellness options, as well as a central courtyard situated on the ground floor, with residential suites located above, across 3 low-rise levels. 41 hotel-apartments will come in options of 1, 2, or 3 bedrooms and will each feature oversized floorplates and dual key offerings.
The rooftop will also be a landscaped oasis, with a rooftop swimming pool and inviting gardens with views of the popular holiday area.
“The Barbotine is a new concept catering for guests who want the intimacy and home away from home feel of an Airbnb, but with the service of a boutique luxury hotel. For investors who want the returns of an incredible holiday property, without the hassle of upkeep and security,” says Podia Director Michael Grassi on the project.
The hotel will be managed by Jeremy & Jones, with construction expected to commence mid-2022.
