Company Summary:

I've partnered with a reputable head contractor specialising in the commercial fitout and refurbishment market, with over 20 years of proven success delivering projects valued up to $35m+. My client has already enjoyed a strong start to 2026 and is gearing up for a busy end to the year, with a secured pipeline of work extending over the next three-plus years, supported by a loyal base of satisfied, repeat clients.

Operating across a range of project delivery methods, they are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in commercial construction, particularly fitout and refurbishment. Their diverse project portfolio spans education, government, commercial, healthcare and heritage sectors.

Due to recent project wins and continued growth, my client is looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to join their Brisbane team, delivering commercial projects valued up to $35m+.

Ideal traits the successful candidate will have:

• Demonstrated track record of high-quality delivery with 1-5 years of experience as a Project Manager
• Commercial fiout and refurbishment project experience needed.
• 5+ years in Brisbane with strong relationships.
• Contract management experience (e.g. managing subcontractors, client side, architects and designers).
• Understanding of the Building Code and WHS legislation.
• Leadership - enjoys mentoring and teaching others.
• Excellent ability to build rapport with others.
• Strong past tenure with employers.
• Team player who loves a challenge!
• Positive, "can-do" attitude.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership of projects from design through to delivery, working closely with clients and consultants, and being involved in all aspects of the construction process. The role offers a good mix of project delivery, design management, commercial oversight and stakeholder engagement.

Your Requirements:

• Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering or a Trade Qualification is highly desirable
• Excellent communication & relationship building skills with various stakeholders (clients, architects, consultants, subcontractors etc.)
• Local experience and relationships with consultants and subcontractors
• Ideally 1-5 years in a similar role and industry experience running your own projects between $5m - $35m
