Warehouse & Delivery All-Rounder
Our client, an established building company, is looking for a reliable, personable all-rounder to keep its projects supplied across South East Queensland.
Based out of a joinery workshop, you'll split your time between factory duties and deliveries to sites from Robina to Bribie Island. Some days you'll be loading trucks and moving equipment on the forklift; others you'll spend on the road. Mainly depending on project requirements, and the time of year. The role is expected to be about 50/50 in the workshop and on the road.
This is a casual role with full-time hours and the opportunity to move into permanent employment, giving you and the business time to make sure it's the right fit.
The role
- Load and unload trucks and organise site supplies within the factory.
- Operate a forklift if appropriately licensed.
- Deliver and collect equipment and supplies, including bins, fridges, microwaves, drinking water and site tables.
- Coordinate with site managers and project managers to meet day-to-day site needs.
- Build strong working relationships across projects and represent the business professionally with external clients.
- Complete deliveries to various locations, including CBD sites, prisons and courthouses.
What we're looking for
- A current driver's licence, with a manual licence preferred. The primary delivery vehicle is automatic and requires a standard car licence, however, you potentially may need to drive a manual work ute if the small truck is unavailable.
- A forklift licence is highly desirable.
- Experience in deliveries, warehousing, construction or a similar hands-on role.
- A friendly, professional manner and confidence communicating with site teams and clients.
- Reliability, good organisation and the ability to work independently.
- Comfort with physical duties, including loading and unloading.
- Willingness and ability to undergo a police check and meet site access requirements. This may be required after commencement.
What's on offer
- Full-time hours on a casual, temp-to-perm basis.
- A pathway to long-term permanent employment for the right person.
- Varied days across factory work, driving and site deliveries.
- A people-facing role where you can become a trusted support person across the business.
If you're practical, dependable and enjoy a mix of hands-on work and working with people, apply now.
