The opportunity

A great opportunity exists to join a highly regarded busy underground principal mining company in the Central Queensland region.

Duties of the role

Due to the small size of the mine, this position will have a broad range of responsibilities. Reporting into the maintenance leading hand and working closely with 4 other tradespeople, you will enjoy;-

• Working in a role with a wide range of duties and responsibilities, you'll be an experienced all rounder with expertise in most areas of UG electrical maintenance - rates reflect this
• Duties: jumbo box starters, maintenance on fans, pumps and vents, communications systems, power supply, 1000v and HV reticulation, drill services, RCT remote tele technologies, HV switching
• Surface and underground electrical work
• Working autonomously and in a team

Your value and experience

• Trade qualified electrician
• Ideally 3+ years' recent experience working in the UG hard rock mining environment - required
• Experience working on UG mining drill services - required
• Strong diagnostic and breakdowns skills
• Ability to work well in a team and unsupervised
• Ability to FIFO from Brisbane or Maroochydore
• Strong safety values
