Due to significant growth and a strong pipeline of secured energy projects, they are seeking an experienced Estimator / Senior Estimator specialising in civil energy infrastructure.
Working alongside a high-performing pre-contracts team, you will lead first-principles estimation for major renewable energy builds, civil substations, grid connections, and battery storage solutions across Victoria and nationally.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead first-principles civil estimating for high-value Wind Farm, BESS, Substation, and Battery Farm projects.
Analyse tender documents, scope of works, constructability requirements, and technical specifications.
Engage with subcontractors, suppliers, and client representatives to secure competitive pricing and establish strong partnerships.
Identify project risks, opportunities, and value-engineering solutions during the tender phase.
Participate in client tender presentations and post-tender negotiations.
Work collaboratively with project delivery teams to ensure seamless handovers upon contract award.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or equivalent experience.
Experience: Proven track record estimating major civil infrastructure projects in Australia, with direct experience in the energy/renewables sector (Wind, Solar, BESS, Substations).
Skills: Strong expertise in first-principles civil estimating software (e.g., Expert Estimation, Candy, or similar).
Commercial Acumen: In-depth understanding of civil earthworks, concrete structures, electrical interface requirements, and risk management.
Communication: Outstanding stakeholder management and communication skills.
