An established commercial construction company based in the north-east of Melbourne is looking for an experienced Estimator to join its growing pre-construction team. With a strong pipeline of secured work and an excellent reputation for delivering quality projects, this is an opportunity to work on a diverse range of commercial developments in a collaborative and supportive environment.

The Role

Working closely with the Pre-Construction Manager and wider project team, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and tender submissions while helping secure new projects.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions.
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and contract documentation.
• Conducting quantity take-offs and obtaining subcontractor and supplier pricing.
• Assessing project risks and identifying value engineering opportunities.
• Liaising with clients, consultants and subcontractors throughout the tender process.
• Supporting negotiations and assisting with project handovers to delivery teams.
• Maintaining estimating databases and market pricing.

About You

• Previous experience of 3-8 years as an Estimator within commercial construction.
• Strong understanding of commercial building methodologies and construction costs.
• Experience preparing competitive tenders across a range of commercial projects.
• Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
