Accounts Officer | Insurance Building

We're partnering with a well-established, family-owned insurance builder to recruit an Accounts Officer to support their growing Brisbane team.

This is far more than a traditional accounts role. You'll play a key part in keeping the business running smoothly across finance, project administration, contractor compliance and operational support. If you enjoy variety and want to be part of a close-knit team where no two days are the same, this could be the opportunity for you.

The Role

Working closely with the leadership team, you'll provide financial and operational support across the business, including:

• Managing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Processing invoices, reconciliations and end-of-month support
• Preparing job files and assisting with project invoicing
• Creating purchase orders and maintaining financial records
• Managing contractor compliance, licences and insurance documentation
• Supporting inventory, fleet and asset administration
• Liaising with supervisors, subcontractors and suppliers
• Assisting with reporting and continuous process improvements

About You

We're looking for someone who enjoys taking ownership, has a strong eye for detail and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

You'll ideally have:

• Previous experience in an Accounts Officer or Finance Administration role
• Strong Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable experience
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• High attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability
• Confident communication skills and the ability to build relationships across all levels
• Experience within construction or insurance building (highly regarded but not essential)
