This is a great opportunity for an experienced mining internal recruiter with experience recruiting for blue collar and white-collar skills. Mining experience is essential to be successful in this role!
If you feel you fit the bill, you'll enjoy the following;
- Working in a role that's 90% WFH, with mine site visits required every 4-6 weeks or so
- Taking on a fast paced and busy role where you'll be tasked to fill up to 40 roles
- Connecting with line managers and working with key hires, as the site expands
- Entrenching yourself in UG hard rock mining and moving your skills and experience forward
- Being based anywhere in QLD or Northern NSW (access to airports to fly to site when needed)
- $68.00ph - $72.00ph + super (labour hire contract via Marble)
The Role
Working closely with the HR team on site you'll take on the important role of sole internal recruiter for the UG mining principal and enjoy immersing yourself with the following duties (not limited to); -
- Running candidate attraction strategies for BC and WC skills demand on site
- Developing site promotional material to assist you promote and engage with talent
- Interviewing, referencing and presenting talent to hiring managers
- Onboarding including organising medicals where required
- Reporting and analysing data to present to managers and the HR team
- Working to KPI's
WFM and Site Visits
This role is predominantly a WFH role where you'll be required to be set up and capable of working efficiently and effectively. Over the 6 months of the contract, you'll likely; -
- Start on site in N.QLD to be inducted, trained up and meet the team (7 days)
- Work from home, connecting with the team via Microsoft Team each day
- Visit site every 4-6 weeks, for up to 7 days at a time (FIFO from Brisbane, Townville or Cairns)

Your Value
You will come from a background in internal or agency recruitment and come armed with a strong level of knowledge and experience recruiting in the mining sector. You will also:
- Have experience recruiting for mining operators and maintenance trades skills
- Have experience recruiting for white collar mining skills (highly regarded, not essential)
- Strong relationship building and communication skills
- Dedicated and resourceful with your approach to finding talent
- Highly detailed and capable of attracting and retaining top talent for the site
