Electrician – Data Centre

Senior Electrician role with BMS focus across data centre projects, with a pathway into Project Management.

We are working with a client seeking an experienced Senior Electrician with strong BMS and integrated systems expertise to join their growing delivery team.

This is a hands-on, site-based role focused on the installation, programming, commissioning, and coordination of complex building systems across data centre and mission critical projects. The position offers a clear pathway into a Specialist Project Manager role within an expanding operations team.

You will play a key role in delivering high-performance projects while working closely with clients, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary teams across Australia.

Key Responsibilities

• Program, commission, and fault-find BMS and control systems
• Lead integration of HVAC, electrical, UPS/critical power, security, and EMS systems
• Take ownership of site delivery from installation through to commissioning and handover
• Coordinate subcontractors and manage interfaces across multiple trades
• Review drawings and specifications, raising RFIs where required
• Drive commissioning, testing, and system validation activities

Skills & Experience

• A-Grade Electrical Licence (essential)
• Proven experience in BMS programming and controls systems
• Strong understanding of integrated building systems and interfaces
• Experience working within data centres or mission critical environments (highly regarded)
• Exposure to:
  • UPS systems
  • Critical power infrastructure
  • Networked/IP-based control systems
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding capability
• Willingness to travel interstate as required
