About Marble Group

Marble Group is a specialist recruitment firm operating across the construction, engineering, and mining sectors in Australia. We partner with some of the industry's most respected contractors and resource companies, delivering permanent placements, labour hire, and workforce management solutions.

As our client base grows, so does our responsibility to support safe, compliant, and high-performing workplaces. This newly created role sits at the heart of that commitment.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced WHS professional to join Marble on a fixed-term contract basis. In this role, you will conduct structured safety audits across our active client sites in the construction and mining sectors, helping Marble and our clients maintain the highest standards of workplace health and safety compliance.

This is a hands-on, field-based role that requires someone who is equally comfortable on a building site or a mine site, and who can translate findings into practical, actionable recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, and conduct WHS site audits at Marble client worksites across the construction and mining sectors
  • Assess compliance with relevant WHS legislation, codes of practice, and industry standards (including Safe Work Australia guidelines and state-based regulatory requirements)
  • Identify hazards, risks, and compliance gaps, and document findings clearly and accurately
  • Produce written site assessment reports with prioritised recommendations for corrective action
  • Liaise professionally with client site contacts, safety personnel, and supervisors during and after audits
  • Track and follow up on corrective actions to support timely close-out
  • Report audit outcomes internally to the Marble operations team
  • Maintain accurate records of all audit activities, findings, and correspondence
  • Stay current with legislative changes, industry developments, and best practice standards in WHS

What We're Looking For

Essential;

  • Demonstrated experience conducting WHS audits or site inspections in construction and/or mining environments
  • Working knowledge of WHS legislation applicable in Australia, including the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 and relevant state equivalents
  • Strong written communication skills - you can produce a clear, professional audit report without being prompted twice
  • Confident communicator who can engage credibly with site personnel, safety officers, and management
  • High degree of organisation and the ability to manage multiple audit schedules simultaneously
  • Current driver's licence and willingness to travel to client sites

Desirable;

  • Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health and Safety (or equivalent)
  • Experience working within a recruitment, labour hire, or workforce management context
  • Familiarity with HSEQ management systems
  • First Aid certificate and relevant site safety tickets (e.g. White Card, site inductions)

What Marble Offers

  • The opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to safety standards across some of Australia's most active construction and mining projects
  • A collaborative, no-nonsense team environment where your expertise is valued and respected
  • Exposure to a diverse portfolio of clients and project types across the sector
  • Competitive remuneration aligned to experience
