Step into a hands-on, field service site-based position supporting both surface and underground hard rock operations. This role will see you working on advanced OEM machinery across multiple North Queensland mine sites, expanding your technical capability on a mix of old, modern and high-spec equipment.

• Choice of 2:2 or 8:6 FIFO roster if based in QLD or NT
• Work across primarily a dayshift roster, with occasional day/night rotations as required
• Majority field service underground focused with only minor workshop duties
• Exposure to both long-standing mine sites and developing projects across N.QLD
• Fully maintained field service Ute supplied, with flights and accommodation organised

The Role

You will be fully site-based, travelling across N.QLD and potentially NT with the role focused on specialised field service support, ensuring equipment remains maintenance, looked after and running.

• Attend site breakdowns, scheduled & pm, hydraulic faults, n-site rebuilds and major component replacements
• Occasional workshop duties such as component overhauls and structural repair tasks
• Equipment includes underground drills, loaders, haul trucks and related auxiliary mobile plant.

FIFO Roster & Hours

This role offers flexible FIFO options to suit different lifestyles, with accommodation and travel fully arranged.

• Choose from either a 2:2 or 8:6 FIFO roster with 12-hour shifts
• FIFO from Brisbane, Townsville, Cairns and Darwin
• Accommodation provided close by either on site (camp) or close to the main branch in N.QLD
• Opportunity to work in a well-established underground mining hub with existing and new projects coming online.

Your Skills & Experience

This role will suit tradespeople with a solid mechanical background who is keen to work underground and develop specialist OEM skills. You'll ideally have:

• Trade qualification as a Diesel Fitter / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
• Underground mining experience / heavy earthmoving experience
• Strong fault-finding and hands-on maintenance skills
• A safety-first mindset, pride in quality of work and communication
• Willingness to work FIFO rosters and commit to long-term progression
• Must be able to complete a pre-employment medical and national police check
