Hours and roster

You will enjoy a wide range of flexibility in this role and working in a fully supportive team that work together to ensure the work is complete to a high level.

  • Approximately 24 hours per week

The role

Reporting into the Payroll Supervisor you'll enjoy working closely with a team of 9. Duties and responsibilities in the role will include;-

  • End to end processing of fortnightly and monthly payrolls.
  • Maintain and update payroll master data (as advised via PIR).
  • Liaise with employees and managers to resolve payroll related queries.
  • Perform payroll administration tasks, including onboarding new starters and processing leave forms.
  • Calculate and process termination payments.
  • Process salary increases and calculates back pay adjustments.
  • Complete required payroll reporting, both routine and ad hoc.
  • Calculate annual leave and long service leave provisions and accruals.
  • Review payroll reports and resolve discrepancies to ensure accuracy prior to releasing bank files.
  • Interpret awards and enterprise agreements, including overtime and allowances.
  • Perform redundancy calculations.
  • Respond promptly to a wide range of payroll enquiries from employees and the business.

Your value

You will come from a background working in an Payroll Officer role working for a medium to large scale business. You will also showcase the following attributes;-

  • 2+ recent years in a Payroll Officer role
  • Demonstrated business maturity and professional judgement
  • Strong computer literacy with the ability to learn new systems quickly
  • High attention to detail with a strong process driven approach
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word
  • Well -developed interpersonal skills with the ability to engage employees at all levels
  • Ability to interpret legislation and Australian workplace agreements confidently
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and planning capabilities
  • Strong computer literacy with the ability to learn new systems
