This is a rare chance to get your foot in the door of the mining industry with a leading OEM, in a residential workshop role with an immediate start.

• An entry point into mining with no prior mining experience needed
• Hands-on experience with OEM underground mining equipment that will stand out on your resume
• Immediate start on a short-term assignment of 3 to 4 months minimum (potential for longer)

The Hours & Roster
This residential roster gives you consistency, flexibility and a great work-life balance.

• Choose Monday to Thursday or Monday to Friday (days open to discussion)
• 10-hour days with a 30-minute lunch break and smoko
• Early starts available, which can be discussed to avoid traffic
• Plenty of onsite parking

The Workshop
You'll work with a skilled trades team, preparing machinery before it's deployed to site. It's clean, well-organised work with clear processes.

• Installing new equipment and components, such as fire suppression and safety systems
• Completing site-specific additions and safety items
• Testing and checking machines to make sure they meet site requirements
• Around 90% of the work is clean, repetitive and process-driven, which makes it ideal for learning mining-standard systems
• Reporting to the workshop leading hand & branch manager

Your Skills & Experience

You'll need to be a trade-qualified diesel fitter or mechanic with heavy vehicle experience, plus:

• Confidence with hand and power tools
• A positive attitude and strong safety awareness, high attention to detail and pride in your work
• A preference for structured, process-driven work
• Availability for an immediate start and the ability to commit to at least 3 to 4 months
• A genuine interest in stepping into the mining industry
• Long term career progression within the mining industry (plenty of other opportunities after this on mine sites)
