The roster and hours

As a Field Service Technician, you will complete duties both in the field and workshop. However, you'll spend most of your time on the road, developing relationships across various customer locations.

  • Standard hours are Monday from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm and Tuesday to Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with some flexibility
  • One day off each month or a nine-day fortnight
  • Frequent overtime available across mornings, evenings and weekends, paid at penalty rates

The role and machinery

In this role, you will have the opportunity to train and upskill across an extensive range of forklift and access equipment brands, with day-to-day duties including:

  • Breakdowns, fault-finding, diagnostics and problem-solving
  • Scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
  • Component changeouts, scheduled maintenance and equipment or technology upgrades
  • Warranty work
  • Autonomously managing jobs in the field

Your skills and experience

You will hold a relevant mechanical trade qualification and have the following skills and attributes:

  • Trade-qualified Diesel Mechanic, Heavy Vehicle Technician or Automotive Mechanic
  • Experience with materials handling, civil, earthmoving or construction equipment is advantageous
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously
  • Hydraulic and electrical diagnostic knowledge
  • A great attitude, reliability and readiness for a long-term opportunity
