Full Time

Trade-qualified Component Fitter for underground rebuilds. Northern suburbs workshop, 46+ hrs/week, Sandvik/CAT/Dana/Kessler. Home every night.

  • $60 - $75Ph + Super - consistent 46+ hrs
  • Multi-OEM rebuilds: Sandvik, CAT, Dana & Kessler components
  • Small, experienced team - valued, recognised and rewarded

A well-established, Perth-based rebuild specialist is growing its northern suburbs workshop - and we're looking for experienced Component Fitters to join a tight-knit, trade-led team.

This is a 100% workshop-based role focused on major component rebuilds and change-out projects for underground mining equipment - strip, assess, report, rebuild - across Sandvik, CAT, Dana and Kessler gear. No mine site pressure, no layers of management, just quality work done properly.

The Opportunity

Lock in consistent, long-term metro work rebuilding underground components for a business with a strong reputation and a growing client base across WA's mining sector.

  • Pay: $60.00 - $75.00 per hour + super (Pending experience)
  • Hours: Consistent 46+ hours per week - Monday to Friday, day shift
  • Employment: Temp-to-Perm Casual
  • Location: Wangara
  • Small, experienced team - you're a person, not a number
  • Multi-OEM exposure: Sandvik, CAT, Dana and Kessler components
  • Hard work recognised and rewarded - genuine scope to grow

The Role

You'll work closely with a small, experienced crew carrying out major component rebuilds and change-out projects to strict industry standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Strip, inspect, assess and rebuild mechanical components
  • Major component change-out projects on underground mining equipment
  • Diagnose component faults and identify repair requirements
  • Complete detailed findings and parts reports using company documentation
  • Read and interpret service manuals, schematics and technical drawings
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety and quality control
  • Work unsupervised and manage your time to meet project deadlines

What You'll Need

  • Australian-recognised mechanical trade qualification (HD Fitter, Plant Mechanic or Mechanical Fitter)
  • Proven component fitting experience, ideally underground mining component rebuilds
  • Hands-on experience with Sandvik, CAT, Dana or Kessler equipment highly regarded
  • Strong understanding of component disassembly and assembly procedures
  • Current Australian driver's licence and full Australian working rights
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical & D&A

Why This Role?

This isn't a giant corporate workshop. It's a Perth-owned business with a proud reputation, where experienced tradespeople back each other, the work is varied, and the hours are there for those who want them.

If you're a component fitter who takes pride in precision rebuilds and wants to be genuinely valued for your skills - not just another number on a headcount - this is the one.

Consistent hours. Local work. A team worth showing up for.
