Commercial Manager – Construction

Are you an experienced Commercial Manager with a strong background in construction? Join a leading company specializing in major building and mechanical services projects.

What you'll do:

• Lead contract administration, cost control, procurement, and risk management to drive profitable project outcomes.
• Review contracts, manage variations and claims, and develop strategies to mitigate risks and seize opportunities.
• Prepare and maintain project budgets, cash flow forecasts, and financial reports.
• Oversee procurement activities, manage subcontractors, and handle progress claims.
• Collaborate with project teams to resolve commercial issues and ensure compliance with legal and company standards.
• Lead negotiations, dispute resolution, and project close-out processes.
• Mentor and develop commercial staff in a safe, ethical, and professional environment.

What you'll need:

• Tertiary qualification in construction management, engineering, law, commerce, or similar.
• Proven experience in commercial management within the construction sector, preferably on large building or mechanical projects.
• Strong knowledge of Australian construction practices and legislation.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and financial reporting systems.
• Desirable: Experience in HVAC, mechanical, or specialist building services; professional memberships like AIQS or RICS.
