About the Role

You'll be hands-on assisting qualified fitters strip, prep and rebuild surface drill rigs in a purpose-built OEM workshop. 100% workshop-based, structured bays, proper tooling - no FIFO, no site work.

• $45.00 - $55.00 per hour + super
• 10-hour days | Monday to Friday

Duties

Working as part of a skilled, safety-driven rebuild team. Day to day you'll be:

• Assisting fitters with strip-down and rebuild of surface drill rigs
• Component cleaning, degreasing and parts prep for rebuild
• Hose making, fitting assembly and general workshop support
• Overhead crane and forklift operation for component handling
• Housekeeping, tool control and parts/consumables runs

Skills & Experience

We're after someone who's worked around fitters and knows their way around a workshop.

• Mechanical trades assistant experience in a heavy workshop
• Forklift (LF) licence and overhead crane ticket well regarded
• Confident with hand, air and power tools
• Current C class licence and reliable transport
• Able to pass a pre-employment medical and D&A screen
