The Role & Duties
Work with an experienced maintenance team to support the reliability and performance of underground and surface mining equipment through planned maintenance, workshop duties and breakdowns.
- Operating surface and underground fuel trucks while completing machinery inspections.
- Servicing, diagnosing and repairing heavy mobile mining equipment.
- Responding to breakdowns and carrying out preventative maintenance.
- Completing component change-outs and mechanical fault finding, including basic hydraulic systems.
- Working across a range of OEM equipment including Sandvik, CAT, Normet and Elphinstone.
Travel & Camp
Enjoy an easy FIFO arrangement with excellent camp facilities and minimal travel time to site. This is an 8:6 roster offering work-life balance and being close to home in QLD.
- FIFO from Brisbane, Cairns or Townsville via charter flights.
- Short bus transfer from airport to site and camp located close to the mine.

Your Skills & Experience
To be successful within this role and hit the ground running you will need to have the following:
- Heavy diesel trade qualification in Cert III or equivalent.
- Proven experience working on heavy equipment e.g. earthmoving, agricultural or civil.
- Open cut or underground mining experience is highly regarded.
- Strong safety focus and ability to work effectively within a team.
- Ability to pass a full pre-employment medical and police clearance.
