Auto Electrician

Underground Hard Rock Mining | WA | FIFO Perth | 8/6, 7/7 or 2/2 Roster

Marble is partnering with a globally recognised Tier 1 underground mining contractor to recruit experienced Auto Electricians across three underground mine sites on a major gold project in WA.

This isn't a role that's been thrown together - the contractor holds a 4-year contract on site, the operations are well-established, and there's genuine long-term opportunity here for the right person.

The Role

You'll be working across both workshop and field environments, with a varied scope that keeps things interesting. This isn't a one-trick role - you'll be hands-on with diagnostics, fault finding, and repairs across a range of underground mobile plant and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Fault finding, diagnostics, and electrical repairs on underground mobile mining equipment
• Scheduled and preventative maintenance on auto electrical systems
• Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and drawings
• Breakdown support in both workshop and field/underground environments
• Drill servicing
• Working to high standards of safety, quality, and workmanship

About You

• Trade qualified Auto Electrician (Cert III or above)
• Solid background in mining or heavy industry auto electrical work
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems
• Ability to read schematics and work autonomously underground
• Underground hard rock experience highly regarded
• Dual trade (Diesel Fitter/Auto Electrician) a bonus but not essential

Roster & Travel

Three mine sites - all within a 30km radius, 3 minutes from town:

• 8/6 and 7/7 rosters available across all three sites
• 2/2 roster available at two sites
• FIFO from Perth - airstrip 5 minutes from camp
• Fly in and start shift same day on most rosters

Camp & Facilities

• Full camp in town centre - comfortable ensuite rooms, gym, wet mess
• Good standard of food daily, plus 50% off meals at the local pub 3x per week
• IGA and town facilities a short walk away
• Minimal travel between camp, airstrip, and mine site
