Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Cabinetry Drafter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate shop drawings, manufacturing documentation, and technical designs for custom cabinetry, joinery, kitchens, wardrobes, and commercial fit-out projects. Working closely with clients, designers, project managers, and production teams, you will ensure all drawings are completed to a high standard and are ready for manufacture and installation.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cabinetry and joinery drawings using CAD software such as Cabinet Vision, Microvellum, Mozaik, or similar.
• Produce shop drawings, cutting lists, material schedules, and manufacturing documentation.
• Interpret architectural plans, specifications, and client requirements.
• Liaise with clients, designers, estimators, project managers, and factory staff to ensure project requirements are met.
• Review designs for manufacturability, functionality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Ensure all drawings comply with company standards and industry regulations.
• Assist with project variations, revisions, and as-built drawings where required.
• Support production and installation teams with technical information throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain accurate project records and drawing revisions.

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in a Cabinet Making, Joinery, or Cabinetry Drafting role.
• Strong knowledge of residential and/or commercial cabinetry construction methods.
• Proficiency in Cabinet Vision, Microvellum, Mozaik, or similar drafting software.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and construction drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and installation requirements.
• Cabinet Making trade qualification highly regarded.
