This is a genuine perm position with a respected underground operation in N.QLD. If you've been leading crews as a shift boss or senior leading hand and you're ready to plant roots close to home, this is worth a conversation.

The Role

You'll own your shift and report to the op's superintendent. You'll lead your underground crew across production and development with day-to-day looking like:

• Leading and supervising your crew safely and efficiently across each shift
• Planning and allocating work across the crew and keeping production on schedule
• Identifying hazards, running pre-starts and holding the line on site safety standards
• Liaising with supervisors, engineers and technical staff to communicate progress and resolve issues

Your Value

Runs on the board are a must - but attitude, safety and how you treat your crew matter just as much here.

• Background in underground hard rock with experience in a shift boss or senior leading hand capacity
• Strong working knowledge of UG roles, duties and site procedures
• Confident communicator - equally comfortable talking to your crew and reporting up to management
• Current manual driver's licence
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and national police check
