Company Summary:
I've partnered exclusively with a highly respected international organisation with over 30 years of proven success delivering projects, specialising in the commercial project market. My client has already had a successful start to 2026 with multiple project wins and gearing up for a busy year, with work secured for 2029 and beyond.
They operate across a range of delivering methods and they are looking for someone with proven experience within the Commercial construction industry, specialising in the fit out. Project sectors include industrial and self-storage facilities.
My client is a looking for a Design Coordinator to join their Brisbane team due to recent project wins and growth. Central office location.
Familiarity with the industrial sector, self-storage facilities, or commercial fit out environments is highly desirable.
Responsibilities and duties for the role will include:
- Co-ordinate and incorporate all consultants and authority requirements into designs and documentation.
- Administer, program and assess the work of any required consultants and suppliers in accordance with project design requirements.
- Inspect all documents (internal and external) for design content prior to distribution.
- Liaise with relevant Authorities to determine their requirements for DA & BA and manage the process of obtaining these, including the submission of all documentation to the building certifier.
- Inspect all documents and drawings (internal and external) for design content prior to distribution.
- Liaise with construction staff to ensure design is understood and delivered in accordance with requirements.
- Attend meetings as requested
- Attend site during the project construction phase and assist the construction team in the clarification and resolution of design and construction issues
- Liaise with other members of the design team to produce high quality construction drawings.
- Must take reasonable care for their own health and safety and that of others in the workplace, comply with all relevant health and safety procedures, and report hazards, incidents or unsafe conditions as soon as practicable
Key Skills, Experience, & Abilities:
- 2 + years of experience as a Design Coordinator.
- Tertiary qualified.
- Current driver's license.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to run multiple projects concurrently.
- Personable and able to interact constructively with clients, consultants, builders, suppliers and team members.
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve.
- Commitment to OHS and quality.
- Commitment to attaining a comprehensive knowledge of company products, systems and installation process
- Strong Revit skills and general Microsoft applications
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

Your Requirements:
- Trade or tertiary qualifications in construction, building services, or similar.
- Excellent communication & relationship building skills with various stakeholders (clients, architects, consultants, subcontractors etc.)
- Local experience and relationships with consultants and subcontractors
- Ideally 2+ years in a similar role and industry experience running your own projects between $200K - $10m+
