Key Responsibilities

  • Install, test, configure, and commission integrated PA, EWIS, and hearing augmentation systems.
  • Install and service hardware including displays, speakers, microphones, control panels, racks, amplifiers, and associated cabling infrastructure.
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance to ensure systems operate reliably and efficiently.
  • Diagnose faults and resolve technical issues across hardware, software, networking, and system integration components.
  • Configure and program public address systems including QSYS, Praesensa, Praesideo, and associated technologies.
  • Interpret and work from schematics, technical drawings, layouts, and project documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, operations managers, engineers, subcontractors, and clients during installations and service activities.
  • Maintain accurate service documentation, commissioning records, maintenance reports, and asset tracking information.
  • Provide technical support and user training to clients where required.
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with workplace health and safety requirements, site-specific procedures, and industry standards.
  • Work safely in various environments including construction sites, plant rooms, elevated work platforms, confined spaces, and live operational facilities.

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Certificate III or IV in Electronics, Communications, Audio Visual Technology, or an equivalent trade qualification.
  • Demonstrated experience installing and servicing PA, EWIS, audio visual, or integrated communication systems.
  • Strong understanding of audio, video, and control signal flow principles.
  • Sound knowledge of network fundamentals and structured cabling best practices.
  • Experience working with leading equipment manufacturers such as Bosch, QSC, or similar platforms.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, technical drawings, and system documentation.
  • Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and within a team.
  • A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn new systems and technologies.
  • Ability to think critically, troubleshoot effectively, and seek support when required.
  • Current driver's licence.
