Drafting Manager

We are seeking an experienced Drafting Manager to lead and develop the drafting team in the Sunshine Coast.

Whilst drafting knowledge is a must, the role is more about leadership, mentorship and driving quality and standards. You will play a critical role in coordinating the teams day & ensuring work produced is accurate and efficient.

Please note the role is based in the Sunshine Coast and would not suit a fully remote candidate.

The Role:

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of up to 8 drafters - onsite
• Set daily priorities and coordinate team workflow
• Ensure drawings are accurate, detailed, and construction-ready
• Review shop drawings before issue to Project Managers
• Monitor output to ensure targets and deadlines are met
• Drive improvements in systems, processes and efficiencies
• Maintain and uplift drafting standards across all projects

What We're Looking For:

• Proven leadership / management experience (production management / senior drafter)
• Strong knowledge of joinery drafting - Pallette Cad would be advantageous but not essential (would accept similar software knowledge)
• Excellent understanding of joinery construction methodology
• High-level attention to detail
• A proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement
• Strong communication skills, particularly with remote teams
