Our client, a well-established self-performing road contractor, is seeking an experienced Civil Supervisor to join their Victorian operations. This role is focused on overseeing a robust pipeline of small to medium-sized VIDA / MRPV projects across Melbourne's East and Southeast suburbs.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of site activities, ensuring that projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the high quality standards expected by government authorities.
Key Responsibilities

Site Leadership: Manage on-site crews and subcontractors to ensure productive workflows across various road infrastructure and civil projects.

Project Delivery: Oversee the execution of VIDA / MRPV work packages, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and project timelines.

Safety & Quality: Drive a rigorous safety culture, conducting site inductions, toolbox talks, and maintaining meticulous quality assurance (QA) documentation.

Plant & Resource Coordination: Efficiently manage the deployment of plant, equipment, and materials to maximise site efficiency.

Stakeholder Liaison: Act as a primary point of contact on-site, coordinating effectively with project managers and client representatives.
Selection Criteria

Industry Experience: A proven track record as a Site Supervisor within the civil construction industry, specifically on road infrastructure projects.

Contractor Background: Previous experience working directly for self-performing road contractors is preferred.

Project Knowledge: Familiarity with VIDA (Victoria Infrastructure Delivery Authority) or MRPV (Major Road Projects Victoria) standards and reporting requirements.

Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of earthworks, drainage, pavement construction, and traffic management coordination.

Leadership Skills: Ability to motivate teams, resolve site-level conflicts, and maintain high morale under tight deadlines.
