Our Client
Our client is a growing custom home builder based in the northern suburbs of Melbourne, known for delivering custom homes and a strong customer journey from concept through to handover. With steady growth and clear leadership direction, they are now seeking an experienced Operations Manager to take ownership of their pre site function and elevate performance across the business.
The Role
This is a hands on leadership role reporting to the Executive General Manager. You will oversee Administration, Contracts, Permits, Showroom and Drafting, ensuring all pre site workflows run efficiently from sales finalisation through to site start.
You will be responsible for driving KPI performance, improving processes, ensuring full compliance, and acting as the main escalation point for customer matters. A key focus will be enhancing the customer experience at every touchpoint while implementing systems and workflow improvements that support business growth.
You will work closely with Sales, Estimating, Finance, Construction and external partners to ensure a seamless transition from pre site to construction.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience in customer service within a residential building company
- Minimum 3 years in a management role
- Strong understanding of residential construction and the local housing market
- Experience with building permits and town planning requirements highly regarded
- Commercially astute with solid experience using CRM and workflow platforms
- Confident managing contracts, variations and compliance processes
- Strong leadership, negotiation and problem solving skills
