The Site
Based in WA about 20km out of Kalgoorlie, this underground gold operation uses modern mining methods and runs a well-equipped processing plant. It's part of a long-life mining portfolio with plenty of room to grow, offering a supportive and energetic work environment.
The Roster & Location
This residential position is located in Kalgoorlie, ensuring employees return home to their bed after every shift. The role follows a 7/7 roster, with 12-hour shifts alternating between days and nights. This schedule promotes a healthy work-life balance, offering time for employees to spend with family and friends between shifts.
As a Process Technician, the successful candidate will report to the Processing Supervisor and work alongside a team of 15. This is a temp to permanent, full-time position, offering job security with a reputable and growing mining company.
Duties and Responsibilities
In this exciting position ideally candidates will have a proven background in Gold Processing. Key responsibilities will include:
- Crushing: Breaking down raw materials into smaller, manageable pieces.
- Grinding: Reducing material size for more efficient extraction.
- Gravity Separation: Using gravity to separate valuable minerals from waste.
- Flotation: Separating minerals using chemicals that attach to air bubbles.
- Leaching: Extracting gold and other valuable minerals using chemical processes.
- Paste Plant Circuits: Mixing tailings with water and materials to create a paste for safe disposal or reprocessing.
This role offers the chance to build a comprehensive skill set in mineral processing while contributing to the overall success of the plant and team.
