The Company
A well-supported underground mining operator with long-term mine life and a clear growth trajectory. The business is investing heavily in its underground expansion, improving systems and increasing production stability. The Operation
A deep, established underground hard-rock mine with multiple work fronts and new development areas underway. Mining methods include long-hole stoping and related hard-rock techniques, offering varied ground conditions, seismic awareness, and scope for practical learning.
The operation is now ramping up, creating a strong pathway for a geotechnical engineer to take ownership of key tasks while gaining exposure across both established workings and expansion areas.
The Roster & Camp

The Role
Reporting to the Mine Manager, you will support the geotechnical function across both established and developing underground areas.
Duties include:

Ground monitoring, inspections and hazard identification
-
Collecting geotechnical data, QA/QC and updating records
-
Contributing to ground support reviews and geotechnical design discussions

Supporting seismic awareness and basic interpretation
-
Working autonomously day-to-day, with mentoring available from senior geotech staff
-
Providing geotechnical input to Technical Services and production teams
Job Requirements
-
Degree in Geotechnical, Mining, or Civil Engineering

Minimum 1 year of underground hard-rock mining experience

Strong safety awareness and communication skills
-
Ability to work autonomously with willingness to take direction when needed

Foundational understanding of rock mechanics
-
Positive attitude and motivation to grow into a fully-rounded Geotechnical Engineer
