Underground Rebuild Workshop

Had enough of FIFO swings but still want to work on serious underground mobile plant? This one's for you.

We've partnered with one of Perth's leading undergrounds rebuild specialists based in north Perth, who are expanding their team of skilled Heavy Diesel Mechanics. The workshop is purpose-built for full component and machine rebuilds, diagnostics, and testing across a wide range of underground gear.

The opportunity & why apply?

Lock in a long-term workshop role right here in Perth - working on world-class underground gear in a modern, well-equipped facility.

  • Competitive hourly rates + super + overtime
  • Secure, full-time ongoing role with guaranteed hours
  • Be home every night - no airports, no swings
  • Rebuild & maintain leading OEM gear: Sandvik, CAT, Epiroc, and Volvo
  • Clean, organised workshop with advanced tooling and rebuild bays
  • Strong team culture with internal support and clear progression pathways into Leading Hand or Supervisor positions

The Role:

Your focus will be on rebuilding, repairing, and testing underground mobile plant and components - from loaders and drill rigs to axles, engines, and transmissions.

  • Conduct complete machine and component rebuilds
  • Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance
  • Work from OEM specs ensuring top quality, compliance, and safety standards
  • Contribute to a tight-knit team that values pride in workmanship and a positive culture

What You'll Need:

  • Australian-recognised Heavy Diesel / Mobile Plant trade certificate
  • Experience with underground mobile equipment (Sandvik, CAT, Epiroc, etc.) (Preffered)
  • Solid mechanical diagnostics and rebuild experience
  • Safety-first mindset and proactive attitude
  • Ability to pass pre-employment medical & D&A screening

Why make the move away from FIFO?

You'll still be working on the same calibre of gear you'd see up north - just without the travel.
This is your chance to join a specialist rebuild workshop in Perth's northern suburbs, work alongside industry veterans, and build a long-term career close to home.
