The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced underground hard rock Geotechnical Engineer to take on a technically challenging and rewarding role within a close-knit and supportive technical services team.

The Operation
This underground metalliferous operation employs a range of mining methods including long-hole open stoping and sub-level caving, presenting engaging ground behaviour, seismic activity, and deformation challenges - perfect for engineers looking to deepen their practical geotechnical experience.
The Roster & Camp Facilities
FIFO ex Brisbane or Townsville on an 8:6 roster, with flights and transfers on the site end provided in company time. FIFO in company time at attractive fly out and home home times, giving you more worklife balance.
Accommodation is modern and close to site, with excellent meals and facilities to ensure comfort during your swing.
The Role
Reporting to the Senior Geotechnical Enginer on site you'll enjoy becoming a key member of the Technical Services team, ensuring the safety, stability, and efficiency of underground operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Integrate geotechnical data into mine design and production sequencing
- Maintain and improve ground control systems and standards
- Conduct ground and seismic monitoring, analysis, and reporting
- Support mine planning, scheduling, and compliance requirements
- Design and review ground support systems, hazard mapping, and geotechnical plans
Your Value
- Degree qualified in Geotechnical, Civil, or Mining Engineering
- Minimum 12 months recent experinece in underground geotechnical experience in metalliferous mining
- Proficient in Deswik, Maptek, Rocscience, or similar geotechnical software
- Strong analytical and practical problem-solving ability
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a proactive safety focus
Remuneration & Benefits
- Attractive base salary range $160,000-$170,000 + super, depending on experience.
