Mechanical Draftsperson - Commercial HVAC

We are currently partnering with a well-established and reputable commercial HVAC contractor that is experiencing sustained growth across a strong pipeline of projects. Due to continued demand, they are now seeking an experienced Mechanical Draftsperson to join their design and delivery team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a stable and long-term role with a company known for delivering high-quality HVAC solutions to commercial, retail, healthcare, and industrial clients.

About the Role

As the Mechanical Draftsperson, you will work closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams to produce accurate and compliant mechanical services drawings. This is a pivotal role within the project delivery process, requiring both technical skill and strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed mechanical drawings (ductwork, pipework, plant layouts) using Revit

• Translate engineering mark-ups and concepts into clear, buildable drawings

• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project alignment

• Update and revise documentation as required throughout the project lifecycle

• Ensure compliance with Australian standards, BCA, and relevant mechanical codes

Ideal Candidate

• Proven experience in mechanical drafting within the HVAC or building services sector

• Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit experience is highly desirable

• Solid understanding of HVAC systems and commercial construction processes

• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
