The mine site
Positioned atop a significant limestone deposit, this site is only 25 minutes away from Goulburn and is one of the oldest limestone mines in Australia. This well-established site offers:
- Monday-Friday position (day shift only - 7:30am-3:30pm)
- Work on a range of hardrock processing plant with upskilling opportunities for those coming from a mobile plant background.
- Long-term, ongoing work with full job security.
- A well-connected culture with close-knit team of long servicing trades and operators.
The role
Reporting directly to the electrical engineer and team leaders, you'll enjoy a varied role as part of the fixed plant electrical division. You'll be responsible for the preventative maintenance, shutdown and general repair of the hard rock processing plant.
- Preventative maintenance, scheduled maintenance, fault finding and diagnostics and major component change outs of a variety of conveyors, screens, and crushers.
- Occasional shutdowns on the machinery and other electrical maintenance across the site.
- Breakdowns - all tradesmen are on call for breakdowns that happen outside of normal working hours. These are paid at 2x hour date with travel paid and are given out on a first come first serve basis.
Your skills and experience
The ideal candidate will come from an industrial electrical background and have extensive experience working on mining conveyors, crushers and screens. However, if you come from a mobile plant background and have a good attitude and willingness to learn, you could still be well-suited to the role.
- Cert III Electrotechnology (essential)
- An excellent attitude towards work and desire to work within the open cut mining industry.
- Ability to work in the workshop or on breakdowns in the field.
- Ability to work unsupervised and In a close-knit team environment.
- A team player that holds work culture in high regard.
Contract and salary
Marble is partnered with this civil/mining company to supply long term permanent employees to the site. The opportunity exists to join the company as a permanent employee from day 1.
- Long term position with full job security. Annual leave and sick days paid.
- Enjoy a healthy hourly rate of $53.47ph + super
- On call breakdowns available at 2x hourly rate with a minimum of 4 hours pay (even if the job only takes 45 minutes) + travel to and from your house paid.
