The mine site

Located in central NSW, this large UG hard rock mine supports the careers of people in the local community. This position offers:

  • 2:2 roster - days/ nights (12-hour shifts working 6-6)
  • 7:7 roster - days/ nights (12-hour shifts working 6-6)
  • A well-connected team culture, that believes in support and training
  • DIDO from anywhere in NSW (within reason) with up to $6000 annual DIDO allowance
  • Hotel/motel style accommodation with buffet style meals included

The duties and team

You will enjoy working in a large, but close-knit team of UG mobile plant operators. Reporting to the development or production Supervisor - your duties will include:

  • Charging faces (working with emulsion-based explosives)
  • Working closely with the jumbo and long-hole operators
  • Working closely with a tight knit crew
  • Working in a highly safe manner

Your skills and experience

Your 3-4+ years recent experience working as a charge up operator will put you in a great position with the tasks you will face in this role. Other key skill/ licenses needed:

  • Underground hard rock mining development/production charge up experience (essential)
  • Current NSW explosive ticket - BUEL
  • Experience working with emulsion-based explosives
  • Excellent safety standards
  • Team player and have the ability to work autonomously
  • Looking for long term permanent work on either a 2:2 or a 7:7 roster
