Congratulations to the Coalition on a historic win, cementing the Governments $100bn commitment to transport infrastructure throughout Australia, busting congestion and boosting the economy!

The Morrison Government will tackle the impact of increasing population in congested cities and back smaller cities and regions looking for greater growth to secure their economic future.

Australia can expect to see developments in infrastructure across all six states delivering the services Australia needs.

A number of exciting projects committed to include:

  • $9.3bn for a new Western Sydney International Airport
  • $5bn for Melbourne Airport Rail Link
  • $4.5bn for Roads of Strategic Importance
  • $4bn for an Urban Congestion Fund (includes $500 million for a commuter car park fund)
  • $3.5bn for Stage 1 of Western Sydney Rail Link
  • $2.2bn for a New Road Safety Package
  • $2bn for Geelong to Melbourne Fast Rail
  • $1.6bn for M1 Pacific Motorway Extension
  • $1.6bn for congestion busting metro and regional road projects in WA
  • $425m for Bruce Highway Upgrades
