Inner-city and Suburban Universities in Melbourne and Sydney will see a boom of development, with building programs to not only redevelop existing facilities but create landmark faculty buildings and student accommodation.
Sydney and Melbourne higher education sector have been going through renewal and growth, with the number of foreign students rising to 11 per cent in the past year.
With Sydney’s construction boom comes an influx in higher education development, with the University of Sydney unveiling plans for a $500 million campus in Weastmead.

University of Melbourne doesn’t have the luxury of land to spare around its main Parkville campus, with development happening in nearby Carlton and the CBD. A $500 Million mixed-use project is currently being commissioned surrounding Carlton, along with a $1 billion campus for engineering students on the other side of CBD.
