Caboolture West, located in the Moreton Bay region of Queensland, is set to receive a major boost in housing development after the Queensland Government fast-tracked the approval process for 13,000 new homes across the 600-hectare development.
This significant decision comes as a result of the government’s focus on delivering affordable housing options and reducing the housing shortage in the state.
The approval of this development will see an increase in the number of homes available for purchase and rent in the area, offering a mix of options, including detached homes, townhouses, and apartments, providing a range of options to suit different budgets and lifestyles.
This significant development is expected to create more than 17,000 jobs during the construction phase and generate significant economic benefits for the region. In addition, the new community will be equipped with essential amenities such as schools, 15 parks, shopping centres, and public transport options, ensuring that residents have everything they need within reach.
The fast-tracked approval process for the development was made possible by the Moreton Bay Regional Council’s decision to prioritise the project, which is part of the Caboolture West Local Development Area. The council has been working closely with the Queensland Government to ensure that the project is completed efficiently and to a high standard.
This development is just one of several housing projects currently being undertaken by the Queensland Government as part of its commitment to addressing the state’s housing crisis. The government has also committed to providing additional funding for social housing, as well as introducing policies to support first-time homebuyers.
Overall, the approval of the Caboolture West development represents a significant step forward in addressing the housing shortage in Queensland and providing affordable housing options for families and individuals. It is also expected to have a positive impact on the region’s economy, creating jobs and generating economic growth.
