We are currently seeking an experienced Truck & Dog Driver to join a well-established quarry site based in Maude, west of Melbourne.

This opportunity is suited to an experienced delivery driver with a background in quarrying or bulk material transport, who is confident operating Truck & Dog combinations, including jack-knifing manoeuvres.

Offering consistent local work, solid hours and long-term stability, you'll initially join on a casual basis through Marble with the opportunity to transition into a permanent position with the client.

The Role

Working Monday to Friday, you'll be responsible for transporting and delivering quarry materials to customers across Melbourne's west and surrounding areas, including Geelong, Colac and Lara.

Your duties will include:

• Operating Truck & Dog combinations, including jack-knifing and manoeuvring in tight areas
• Delivering quarry materials to customers across the region
• Safely tipping and unloading materials at customer sites
• Occasional water cart operation as required
• Communicating with customers and site personnel during deliveries
• Following all site safety and road transport requirements
• Assisting with general quarry operations when required

Roster, Hours & Site

• Monday to Friday, 6:30am-4:30pm
• Consistent 45-50 hour weeks
• Occasional Saturday work as required
• Local position - home every night
• Only a 30-minute drive from Geelong
• Scenic drive to work each and everyday

Skills & Experience

To be considered for this position, you'll need:

• Current MC licence preferred, although HC licence holders will be considered
• Previous Truck & Dog driving experience - essential
• Proven delivery driving experience, ideally transporting quarry materials, aggregates or other bulk materials
• Confident jackknifing and manoeuvring Truck & Dog combinations - essential
• Experience working in quarries, civil construction or similar heavy-industry environments highly regarded
• Strong understanding of safe loading, tipping and unloading procedures
• Good communication skills and a reliable, safety-focused attitude
• Ability to complete a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen
