Leading Hand Boilermaker – Underground Equipment

Trade-qualified Boilermaker with leading hand experience needed to run a fabrication crew in Maddington - home every night, early Friday finish.

• Lead a fabrication crew in a specialist underground rebuild shop
• 2pm Friday finish - home every night, no FIFO or camp life
• Long-term temp-to-perm role with a stable, established business

About the Role
Step up and lead a skilled fabrication crew on underground equipment. You'll oversee a team of around 10, working closely with a core group of 6. You'll stay on the tools while you allocate work, check quality and keep rebuilds moving on time.

• $68 p/h casual + super + OT
• Mon-Thu 5:30am-3:30pm, Fri 5:30am-2pm
• Saturday overtime when required (5am-11am)
• Temp-to-perm with a well-established WA business
• Modern workshop with dedicated bays and tooling

Duties
Your role will balance hands-on fabrication with leading the crew.

• Allocate and supervise daily work for the boilermaking crew
• Fabricate, repair and modify booms, buckets and chassis
• Check welds and fabrication work to drawings and quality standards
• Coordinate with the workshop supervisor and HD Mechanic team
• Lead toolbox talks, safe work practices and mentoring

Skills & Experience
To be considered, you'll bring:

• Cert III Engineering - Fabrication Trade (Boilermaker)
• Proven leading hand or crew supervision experience
• Heavy plant or mining equipment fabrication and repair skills
• Strong drawing interpretation and welding capability
• Current WA driver's licence; able to pass medical and D&A
