Senior workshop technician working in a well-equipped Sydney workshop. Regular OT available at penalty rates. Permanent position from day 1.

• Work an average of 10 hours per day Monday - Friday and work OT hours every day
• Opportunities to earn extra dollars working half day on Saturdays (if requested)
• Report directly to the service manager where you'll step up with extra responsibilities around the workshop

Your Duties

Reporting directly to the service manager, you will be responsible for preventative maintenance, diagnostics, servicing and major repair on a fleet of earthmoving hire machinery.

• Servicing, preventative maintenance, fault finding and major repair on a range of earthmoving machinery.
• 100% workshop duties working in a small team dedicated to hire fleet.
• 30am - 4.30pm - Monday to Friday with regular overtime every day and Saturday work often available
• Great earning potential doing OT hours every day on penalty rates
• Step up into a senior position running the daily maintenance on hire fleet and mentoring greener fitters in the workshop.

Your Background

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced diesel mechanic to step up into a senior position in the workshop. You will have:

• Heavy Diesel trade qualification (preferably Cert III Mobile Plant)
• Excellent fault finding and diagnostic skills
• Ability to manage you own day and work autonomously
• Excellent customer facing skills & ability to manage client's expectations
• High level of pride in your work and ability to deliver quality
• Eager to work OT when needed
