The opportunity
Join a well-established national business in a permanent field service position, working across a diverse range of forklifts, access equipment and mobile machinery.
This role will see you predominantly out on the road attending customer sites, managing your own jobs and carrying out everything from scheduled servicing through to breakdowns and complex fault finding.
We're looking for someone who already has field service experience and a strong background working on heavy equipment - whether that's access equipment, mobile plant, materials handling, earthmoving or construction machinery.

The company
You'll be joining an established national business operating across the forklift and access equipment space.
There's a strong focus on technical development, with ongoing training and upskilling available across different equipment and brands. You'll also have the support of an experienced team while maintaining plenty of autonomy in your day-to-day work.
The roster
Standard hours are Monday 7:00am-3:00pm and Tuesday to Friday 7:00am-3:30pm, with some flexibility available.
There is also the option to work towards a monthly RDO or 9-day fortnight, alongside regular overtime across mornings, afternoons and weekends.
The role
Working predominantly in the field, you'll be responsible for managing jobs across various customer locations.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Breakdown repairs and troubleshooting
- Mechanical, hydraulic and electrical diagnostics
- Scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
- Fault finding and problem solving
- Component change-outs and repairs
- Equipment and technology upgrades
- Warranty work
- Managing jobs autonomously in the field
- Building relationships with customers on site
Your skills & experience
For this position, you'll need:
- Trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic, Heavy Vehicle Technician or Automotive Technician
- Previous field service experience - essential
- Experience working on heavy/mobile equipment - essential
- Exposure to access equipment, mobile plant, forklifts, materials handling, earthmoving or construction machinery
- Strong hydraulic and electrical diagnostic skills
- Confidence attending breakdowns and fault finding independently
- Ability to manage your own workload in the field
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Reliable attitude and interest in a long-term position
- Must have PR or Citizenship
You don't necessarily need previous forklift experience, but you will need proven field service experience working across heavy equipment or mobile machinery.
