The Project / Roster

This opportunity is based at an underground mining operation within driving distance of Adelaide, offering the unique opportunity to earn competitive mining rates while returning home after each shift.

• 14:14 roster - 7 days, 7 nights, 14 off
• Wednesday to Tuesday rotations
• 12-hour shifts
• DIDO - ideal for Adelaide Hills / Mt Barker region
• Return home after each shift with no camp living required

The Role

As a Leading Hand HD Fitter, you'll take on a hands-on leadership role within the maintenance team, working across the workshop and assisting with field and underground maintenance as required.

The mobile fleet consists of Sandvik and CAT underground equipment including trucks, boggers and development drills.

• Lead and support tradespeople on shift
• Scheduled and preventative maintenance
• Repairs and component change-outs
• Breakdowns, fault finding and diagnostics
• Provide technical support to the maintenance team
• Workshop, field and underground duties
• Maintain a strong focus on safety and equipment availability

Your Value

You'll be an experienced Heavy Diesel Fitter with a strong underground hard rock background and previous experience leading or supervising trades.

Essential:

• Trade-qualified Diesel Mechanic / Heavy Diesel Fitter
• Underground hard rock mining experience maintaining mobile equipment
• Previous Leading Hand or supervisory experience
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work autonomously and support the wider team
• Valid Australian Driver's Licence
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop

Advantageous:

• Strong knowledge and experience working on Sandvik underground equipment
• Experience across CAT underground mobile equipment

The Contract & Rates

This is a long-term temp-to-perm opportunity, initially employed through Marble before transitioning into a permanent position with the mining contractor.

• Marble contract rates: $80.00-$85.00ph + super, (depending on experience), weekly pay through Marble, transition to permanent employment after 6 months

• Client Permanent rates: $80.00-$85.00ph + super + permanent benefits
